Alumni Spotlight: Jorge Suarez

Meet Jorge Suarez, a proud Archimedean K–12 graduate whose passion for engineering and dedication to community began right here at Archie.

Jorge went on to earn his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University in 2021. While at BU, Jorge immersed himself in every opportunity to learn, lead, and serve. He worked in the Engineering IT Department throughout his four years, conducted research in the Structural Mechanics Lab, and supported the Undergraduate Programs Office as both an office assistant and an Engineering Ambassador. He was also a dedicated Student Advisor and eventually led the team as Student Advisor Coordinator, helping new students navigate college life—especially during the challenges of 2020.

Jorge’s commitment to supporting others was recognized when he received the Anita Cuadrado Memorial Award, honoring a student with exceptional dedication to BU’s College of Engineering and its undergraduate community. He also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, where he taught English, further expanding his global perspective.

After graduating, Jorge joined PTC as a Rotational Analyst in their prestigious Rotational Leadership Development Program, completing four unique technical roles that spanned data analysis, hands-on demo creation, and global presentations. His journey took him all the way to Paris, where he showcased cutting-edge technology at the Carrousel du Louvre.

Today, Jorge serves as Senior CAD Demo Project Manager, leading technical demo development efforts that bring PTC’s innovative products to life for clients around the world—including an upcoming showcase at the Paris Air Show in 2025.

Outside of his day-to-day role, Jorge is an active leader in HOLA, PTC’s Latinx/Hispanic Employee Resource Group. He’s passionate about mentoring and recruiting the next generation of engineers, especially through his involvement with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).

When asked about his time at Archimedean, Jorge reflects fondly on memories that span from elementary school to senior brunch at the Rusty Pelican. He recalls Science Olympiad wins, spirited study sessions, AP Saturday classes, and friendships that shaped his entire youth.

“Archie is responsible for so much of who I am. I spent my entire childhood at that school. The friendships, the teachers, the memories—they helped make me who I am today.”

We are so proud of Jorge and all he has accomplished—and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
